


Kontiolahti is a municipality that was founded in 1873 and is situated in the heart of North Karelia in Eastern Finland. In addition to its great location, Kontiolahti offers a secure environment for young families with children. Today North Karelia has some 11,900 happy inhabitants. The population growth has continued at the same rate since 1978 and is estimated to continue at about 100 people per year.
